Based on service provider and customer feedback, we’ve made a few more quick improvements to the uShip Payments system.
You will now note that information about pending payments and funds available for withdrawal will appear in the My Reminders section of My uShip. This will help you quickly access the pages where you can submit payment codes and withdraw funds from your uShip account.
Payment methods will only show on bid details
Because the payment methods available for each shipment can vary based on a few factors, including price and location, this information will now only be attached to your bids rather than to your profile. Some customers have been confused when not all payment methods displayed on a profile were available on a specific bid. For example, uShip Payments is not currently available for bids more than US$2,750, but uShip Payments might be a payment method displayed on the profile of the bidding service provider. We hope this change will help everyone avoid this confusion.
Easier withdrawal process after entering payment codes
Previously, after entering a payment code, service providers were taken straight to the feedback process. Some service providers noted that this made it more difficult to navigate back to the payments screen to release funds, which was the next action they wanted to take. To help you quickly withdraw funds as your next step, you will now remain on the payments screen after entering a payment code.
After entering payment codes and withdrawing funds, it is still important that you leave feedback for your customer, as this is a pillar of the marketplace model – it also reminds your customer to leave great feedback for you! You can leave feedback for completed shipments by navigating to My Completed Shipments, or by clicking the feedback reminder in My Reminders.
Thanks for all the feedback that has led to these changes – we will continue to work to improve this product for you.
