 Congrats to this week's winner!

It's a very rare vehicle, with sentimental for the customer. The customer posted a glowing review for the hauler, payhughes:

"The car was my dad's BABY! I remember him polishing it and coming in the house with green hands...Hopefully we will be able to honor his memory and restore it. Was nrevous about open transport, but Pat had such high recommendations, I decided to do it. I AM SO GLAD! I feel he really gave me the one on one attention I wanted and is an honest, conscientious hauler. I would very highly recommend him."

The Shipping Price is Right! - Week 6

It's week six of our "Shipping Price is Right!" contest on Facebook!

Catalina-capri-22-uship What's the cost to ship this 22-foot Catalina sailboat from Perry, KS to McCall, ID using uShip?

The answer is $2,500.
Here's the shipment listing.
 Congrats to this week's winner!

Sailboats are notoriously difficult to transport. They're long, wide, tall and heavy-- and not designed for road transport, in general. The dismantling of the mast itself is an undertaking all its own. Thankfully, there are professional haulers out there that know exactly how to prepare, load and transport sailboats.

Experienced boat carriers on uShip provide a valuable service by making sure every barge is hauled the right way.

This shipment took a sailboat from storage in Kansas to another storage facility in Idaho-- which means the boat had to be carefully loaded and unloaded into storage. Customer jronald666 left a great review for the transporter, vinnyvince69:

"Vincent did an excellent job... He runs a first class operation and has excellent drivers. Very competitive prices, delivery on time and a person to talk to. A great guy you can trust!"

This heavy haul shipment traveled nearly 870 miles. And when we say "heavy haul"... Well, the specs on this Link-Belt RTC 8065 Rough Terrain Crane speak for themselves. This machine extends to 115 feet, weighs 65 tons, and is no less than 45 feet long when collapsed for transport.

It's a serious job for a serious hauler. Ten transporters bid on the shipment, but DAKTransport submitted the winning bid.

CNBC: uShip Offering Unique, High Tech Moving Alternative

We were honored to host CNBC in uShip's Austin's offices last week as their team gathered footage for a summer moving story being prepared for its 'Power Lunch' show, one of the top news programs for influential business decision makers and is viewed by approximately a quarter-million people on the average day.

The near-3 minute story ultimately ran today on a segment called Business Coast-to-Coast.  The video is found below, or check out a written piece on the same story here:

The essence of CNBC's story is this:  With more than 20 million Americans expected to move this summer and fuel prices super high, it's likely to cost more to relocate than it has in the past.  But uShip is helping people keep moving costs down, thanks for the competitive bidding process by transporters on its site.  The couple profiled in this piece saved 66% compared to the published rate from a commercial moving company and couldn't have been happier with their experience.
