It's week five of our "The Shipping Price is Right!" contest on Facebook!
How much did it cost to ship this rough terrain crane from Houston, TX to Jacksonville, FL using uShip?
The answer is $8,497.
Here's the shipment listing. Congrats to this week's winner!
This heavy haul shipment traveled nearly 870 miles. And when we say "heavy haul"... Well, the specs on this Link-Belt RTC 8065 Rough Terrain Crane speak for themselves. This machine extends to 115 feet, weighs 65 tons, and is no less than 45 feet long when collapsed for transport.
It's a serious job for a serious hauler. Ten transporters bid on the shipment, but DAKTransport submitted the winning bid.
Here are just a few of this week's "Life and Pocket Saver!" testimonials submitted directly to Facebook:
"30-Foot Sailboat Mast With Hardware" - Boat Shipping from Wagoner, OK to Stevenson, WA
"These transport service providers were GREAT! The BID was fair, and their ability to work with oversized awkward freight made them a commodity. Their terms were flexible & easy to meet. They worked with the seller to enable him to meet their pickup schedule. Their flexibility on pick up time & delivery time was logistically appreciated and very helpful. Delivery was much faster than originally anticipated. They gave solid communications during the process. The driver was helpful loading & unloading and awaiting our arrival for the pickup. We would use them again for sure! Thanks again for the awesome work!"

"2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R" - Motorcycle Shipping from Houston, TX to Richmond, VA
"uShip is a life and pocket saver. I found the coolest couple to help me ship my motorcycle from Texas to Virginia on this site. They were twice-three times as cheap as major companies. Thanks to Dave and Erlene I can ride to the hospital (where I work) and park for free to save even more money! If you ever need something shipped, try bigdbirdman!"

"New Holland Tractor TC25D" - Tractor Shipping from Smithfield, NC to Lindley, NY
"First of all, what a great idea and site! My experience as a first time user was really good, and I was amazed at how easy it was. I love the idea of having my tractor shipped by someone who had the equipment to accommodate my situation, rather than paying someone more money to figure it out for me and find the available trailer. Also, it makes sense for small operators to be able to bid multiple jobs and keep their trailers loaded. The guy I ended up using was super pleasant, and my experience leaves me wanting to ship something else :)"
