uShip Adds Three Senior Members to Key Roles

uShip announced today that three new senior hires – Claudina Padovani, Katie Sherwin, and Kim Rogers – have joined the company, filling both existing and new leadership roles in product, partnerships, and sales, respectively. All three will work from uShip’s headquarters in downtown Austin.

“Claudina, Katie, and Kim bring such incredibly deep industry and functional experience to uShip,” says uShip CEO Mike Williams. “In just a short time since each has joined us, they’re already making a huge impact, helping us raise the bar and continue to deliver the best product possible to our shipping customers, service providers, and strategic partners.”

Claudina joins uShip after spending the last six years leading product management teams at vacation rental marketplace HomeAway. Claudina’s marketplace expertise will apply directly to uShip’s shipping marketplace as she leads a team of front-line product managers who guide customers’ uShip site experience. Prior to HomeAway, Claudina spent 12 years at Apple in product and program management roles.

Katie is filling a new role at uShip, one focused on both existing strategic programs and exploring new opportunities. Initially she is overseeing uShip’s DB Schenker partnership and its Drive4Schenker project. She spent the past nine years at Deloitte Consulting as a leader in the Strategy & Operations practice assisting clients to achieve enterprise-wide transformation through technology implementation, process re-design, and organizational improvement. She started her career in investment banking after being captain of the women’s basketball team at Columbia University.

Kim is leading the team responsible for attracting new business shippers to uShip’s less-than-truckload instant rate marketplace, which features direct access to top national and regional LTL carriers. As a logistics sales veteran, Kim started her career in transportation at JB Hunt Transport Inc. During her 10+ year commitment there, she held various positions including National Account and Project Management roles. Most recently she spent the last 13+ years helping to organically build Total Quality Logistics (TQL) into one of the nation’s largest freight brokerages by leading multiple sales teams at the Group Sales Management level, as well as through direct contribution as a broker and Sales Management Mentor.
