The Harlem Shake: uShip’s Austin Startup Games Rallying Cry

Following up on the uShip versions of “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style,” we present THE HARLEM SHAKE.

We jumped on the Harlem Shake train after it exploded on YouTube earlier this week. Click here to see the original version of the video. The song was released back in May on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, but exploded on the ‘Tube this week with hundreds of awesome versions like this one at Maker Studios in LA.

Consider this our battle cry for the AUSTIN STARTUP GAMES, happening tomorrow at the Austin Music Hall. This is our second annual winter Startup Games, in which 16 local startup companies compete in athletic events for charity. All funds raised by the event are donated to charities of each company’s choice.

Last year, uShip were the grand champions. We’re hoping to bring home the gold once again for our favorite charity, Communities in Schools of Central Texas, which offers support to families with school-age kids in the Austin area.
