Rick Wittenbraker and Timur Eligulashvili are making waves as our latest executive hires at uShip World Headquarters. These two rock stars recently made it to the Austin Business Journal’s People On The Move section. Read on to find out how they’ll be helping uShip grow.
Rick, Vice President for Market Development, focuses on implementing and scaling our marketing strategy across different channels. His projects will include securing parternship opportunities, and expanding uShip’s presence across traditional, social, and new media marketing channels. Previously he served as VP of Marketing for YETI Coolers and helped grow that brand leading to its acquisition in June 2012. He is also co-founder of Stage One Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on online brands and technologies, a mentor at The Incubation Station an accelerator for market-validated CPG (consumer product goods) companies, and a co-founder of The SEAM, Society for the Encouragement of Authentic Marketing. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Timur, Vice President for Commercial Products, leads the development of uShip’s commercial offerings, including Truckload, LTL, Carrier and PRO products. Timur brings over 10 years of logistics industry experience to the team, having worked for 2 of the top 5 third party logistics companies in the US. Most recently, Timur was founder of Loadio.com, “the LinkedIn for freight professionals.” Prior to that, he was Director of Product Management for Echo Global Logistics, where he led the design and development of Echo’s LTL TMS, launched MyFreight.com, and was instrumental in the company’s growth from startup to IPO on NASDAQ in 2009. Timur also held sales and analyst roles with CH Robinson Worldwide, Anixter, and Tranzact Technologies. He began his career at Honda Logistics’ subsidiary Midwest Express, where he implemented the use of an inbound automotive supply chain optimization system, and also developed and launched an online application for tracking in-transit inventory. Timur holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Engineering Management degree from Northwestern University.
